Lipetsk region may find investors in Changchun

The delegation of Lipetsk region will participate in the sixth session of Working Group for special economic zones of the Commission for Regular Meetings of the Heads of Russian and Chinese Governments. The meeting will take place on 31 August 2015 in Changchun.

The Chief of Department of Investments and International Relations of Lipetsk region Igor Malenko will head the delegation. At the meeting he will tell about the development of special economic zone “Lipetsk” and positive experience of the attraction of Chinese investors.

Lipetsk region actively develops trade and economic relations with China. On 16 August in special economic zone “Lipetsk” a foundation stone laying ceremony was held to officially signify the start of construction of automotive plant, belonging to Chinese company “Lifan”. The company is going to invest in construction up to $300 mln. The plant will produce a whole vehicle line of the Chinese company and employ about 1500 skilled workers and specialists. The initial estimated capacity is 60 thousand cars per year. “Lifan” plans to start production in 2017.

Another result of cooperation with Chinese investors is a construction of agroindustrial complex. On 29 June Chinese company “Angel Yeast” signed an agreement of yeast plant construction in Dankovsky district. The plant will produce 20 thousand tons of yeast per year and employs 300 workers. The volume of investments is $80 mln, construction to be finished by 2017.
