RAO Energy Systems of East (a subsidiary of RusHydro) and China’s Heilongjiang energy alliance “Amur EnergoStroy Alliance” will cooperate in construction of CHP plant in Primorye. The companies signed the corresponding memorandum at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. According to the document, the companies will cooperate in construction of the Ussuriysk CHP plant and power lines, oriented for export to the city of Mudanjiang and subordinal districts.

The construction of 370-MW CHP plant is a part of RAO Energy Systems investment program. At the moment, RusHydro builds four power plants in the Far East with 50 billion rubles state financing. These plants are: coal-fired Blagoveshchensk CHPP, Sakhalin SDPP-2 and CHPP in Sovetskaya Gavan and gas-operated Yakutsk SDPP. In 2013, RAO Energy System of East Deputy CEO Alexei Kaplun estimated the cost of building the Ussuriysk CHPP at around 30 billion rubles.
