On October 1, CLAAS will launch the second phase of factory in Krasnodar
On October 1, 2015, CLAAS plans to launch the second phase of factory in Krasnodar. The project calls for doubling the capacity of the factory. Since 2013, the company has invested about 7 billion rubles in the construction, according to investment portal of Krasnodar Krai.
The existing CLAAS factory in Krasnodar occupies a floor space of 11 ha and employs 300 workers. The production expansion will increase the floor space to 48 ha and the number of workers to 200.
“In 2003, CLAAS became the first European company to launch the assembly factory in Kranodar, Russia. But we understood that our future is not just the assembly, and we should start to produce components in Russia. Today we are the first company to realize the full technological cycle of harvester production”, said Ralph Bendish, the General Director of CLAAS factory in Krasnodar.
The limited liability company CLAAS, based in Harsewinkel, Germany, is a part of CLAAS Group. The company was founded in 1913. CLAAS is believed to be the top combine harvester manufacturer in the world and employs about 11 thousand workers all over the world. In 2013, the company’s turnover reached €3,8 billion.
