Joint ventures with the U.S., Japan and France-based companies may join Udmurtia automotive and auto parts manufacturing cluster, announced Alexander Solovyev, the Head of the Republic, on Friday. “The project of automotive and auto parts manufacturing cluster has already been developed. We expect that the local pool of potential manufacturers of auto parts for the Izhevsk automotive plant will grow up to 20-25 companies”, he noted at the solemn ceremony at the Izhevsk automotive plant, where the first production car LADA Vesta rolled off the construction line.

Bo Andersson, the President of AVTOVAZ, shared the plans for the future development of the plant: “In a year’s time, we will launch LADA Vesta Gross. This is hard, but we can do it”.

Before the end of the year, “Izhavto” plans to produce 5-6 thousand new cars. Next year the plant is ready to produce up to 70 cars. LADA Vesta will hit the market in 22 Russian cities, including Izhevsk, on 25 November, 2015. The expected price of the car is 495 - 660 thousand rubles.
