The meeting with foreign investors in Kuban

Today the authorities and the representatives of Russian and foreign business have discussed the prospects of increasing investments in Kuban. In particular, the meeting was attended by the Vice-Governor and the Finance Minister of Krasnodar Region Ivan Peronenko, the Minister of Economy of the region Igor Galas, the Mayor of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov, the Chief Representative of EU in Russia, the Ambassador Vigaudas Ushatskas, the Chairman of the Association of European Business (AEB) Philippe Pegorier and the CEO of the Association of European Business Frank Schauff

Today the authorities and the representatives of Russian and foreign business have discussed the prospects of increasing investments in Kuban. In particular, the meeting was attended by the Vice-Governor and the Finance Minister of Krasnodar Region Ivan Peronenko, the Minister of Economy of the region Igor Galas, the Mayor of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov, the Chief Representative of EU in Russia, the Ambassador Vigaudas Ushatskas, the Chairman of the Association of European Business (AEB) Philippe Pegorier and the CEO of the Association of European Business Frank Schauff.


The share of Krasnodar Krai in the foreign trade volume of the Southern Federal District is currently more than half of the total amount. Last year Kuban foreign trade volume reached about $15 million and rose by 13% in value terms and by quarter in physical terms over the year.


In 2014, the foreign investments in the region exceeded $888 million. In the first quarter of the current year, more than $300 million has already been invested in the region economy.


The strategic partners of the region are world-known companies such as CLAAS, Philip Morris, Nestle, Bonduel, Knauf, Cargill, Lafarge, AnadoluJam and others. Besides, Kuban implements six large projects involving foreign investors from Germany, Spain, Norway and France. The total cost of these projects is more than 7.5 billion rubles.
