Retailer Billa (member of Austrian Rewe International) plans to expand its network in Russia up to 200 shops.
At the moment company's network in the Russian market where it has been operating for the last 11 years covers 100 shops. Company's investments into Russian segment made up EUR 520 million.
In the nearest future the Company will focus on the development of its network in Moscow and the Moscow Region where at the moment the majority of its shops are located. Among them 15 supermarkets are operating in other cities such as Kursk, Voronezh, Nizhni Novgorod, Dzershinsk and Tula.
In order to adapt to the recent challenges of the Russian market Billa had to bring changes into its product line policy, expanding range of products for average and below-average price segments.
Billa's revenue for 2014 made up RUR 38 billion. In 2015 the Company expects sales increase, not specifying growth dynamics.
