Russian-Swedish crop enterprise “Agro-Invest” reported about the implementation of seed potato cultivation project in the Kaliningrad Region. Agro-holding plans for development were discussed on November 24 by regional minister of agriculture Sergey Liutarevich and the company's representative Victoria Fletcher.
Businessmen chose Russian exclave due to its environment conditions. “Your region is an excellent place to cultivate seed potato. It has good coastal climate” - emphasized Fletcher.
In 2016 the company plans to bed potato in Bargationovskiy municipal district. Up to schedule, cultivated area will cover over 140 ha. Top-management of “Agro-Invest” were interested in state support granted to established agricultural cooperatives, which presupposes, in particular, receipt of budget grants to develop storing material and technical base, process and distribute agricultural products.
Agro-holding “Agro-Invest” is a branch of Swedish company Black Earth Farming Ltd which was founded in 2005 with the purpose to be engaged in agricultural projects in Russia.
