By 2020 French seed producer Maisadour Semences (seed-production factory of French agricultural cooperative Maisadour) plans to invest up to EUR 20 million in production, irrigation, breeding and equipment for breeding center in the south of Russia (meaning in the first place production of corn and sun-flower seeds). According to General Director of the Russian office of Maisadour Oxana Krasnyanskaya an agreement on establishment of the joint enterprise with agro-holding “Kuban” was executed by the French party.
It is believed that investments will be spent on development and expansion of capacity of Ladozhskiy corn-calibrating plant (up to 10 thousand tons of seeds a year) and breeding of new lines of hybrid seeds on Kuban lands of agro-holding.
