American producer of components for optical networks NeoPhotonics launched its production facility on the territory of Technopolis “Moscow”. The company will invest in to it up to USD $30 million. At the moment NeoPhotonics produces splitters (network equipment to split visual signal), but in the future it plans to expand its assortment. At the moment Russian communications providers do not use NeoPhotonics equipment, but some of them are ready to consider the company’s proposals.
NeoPhotonics production facilities are located in USA, Japan, China and now – Russia. In 2013 NeoPhotonics opened its research center and sales office in Moscow to service Russia and Eastern European countries.
