A UK investor to create a medical expendables producer in the Lipetsk SEZ
The Expert Council of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade yesterday satisfied applications filed by two potential residents of the Lipetsk Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The total price of the projects declared may reach RUB 4.3 bln. For instance, Andam Development, a UK company, plans to produce medical expendables via Andam Medical Technologies, a local company, for a total of RUB 3.5 bln. while Saint-Petersburg-based CJSC Znamya Truda Factory anticipates to construct a pipe fittings plant for RUB 821.2 mln. via its subsidiary of the same name.
Andam Medical Technologies expects to produce 19 mln. units of products per annum to potentially cover about 30% of the demand of the national medical expendables market. It is expected that the construction of the facility will start as early as in January 2016 at a 17 hectares land plot that has been allocated for the company in the SEZ territory in the Griaznisky District.
LLC Andam Medical Technologies was registered in the Lipetsk Region in December this year. Mrs. Dora Andam is the sole founder and general director of the company.
