Worldskills, an interregional center of competencies, is planned to be opened in the city of Korolev located near Moscow as part of a federal project that was launched this year and a total of 6 similar centers will be opened in Russia

Worldskills, an interregional center of competencies, is planned to be opened in the city of Korolev located near Moscow as part of a federal project that was launched this year and a total of 6 similar centers will be opened in Russia, according to a statement published by the Press Office of Olga Zabralova, the First Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Region. Worldskills center of competencies will be opened in Moscow-area based on the Sergey Korolev College.


The center will be devoted to construction. The center will offer basic and advanced training in painting, decoration, woodwork, carpentry, tiling, brickwork, plastering and manufacturing of small concrete structures. The center will also train members of the national select team. The final competition of the national Worldskills Russia championship will take place in the Moscow Region in 2016.


Worldskills is an international achievement aimed at improving the status of nonprofessional occupations.
