The Tula Region strengthens its economic relations with Netherlands

Representatives of the Russian Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands, Adviser to the Embassy Philip De Yong and Officer of the Department of Economy, Agriculture and Innovations Anastasia Golovanova,  visited Tula on the 18th of February this year at the invitation of the Regional Government and JSC Tula Region Development Corporation.



The Tula Region strengthens its economic relations with Netherlands


Representatives of the Russian Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands, Adviser to the Embassy Philip De Yong and Officer of the Department of Economy, Agriculture and Innovations Anastasia Golovanova, visited Tula on the 18th of February this year at the invitation of the Regional Government and JSC Tula Region Development Corporation. The Dutch delegation was greeted in Tula by Deputy Minister of the Tula Region Economic Development Valentin Zarubin, Deputy Minister and Director of the Department of Crop Farming, Technical Policies, Food & Processing Industry of the Tula Region's Ministry of Agriculture Oleg Gromenko and JSC Tula Region Development Corporation's Investment Projects Support Department Anna Trofimova. They told about the Tula Region's investment potential, plans to create a special economic zone in the Tula Region and prospects for developing agriculture, in particular, greenhouse business.


In turn, the Advisor to the Dutch Embassy told that more than 40 thousand companies of this country are interested in carrying out business in Russia.


"99% of them intend to build long-term export and import relations. Companies that manufacture equipment for crop and stock farming first and foremost desire to consider opportunities for localizing their productions in Russia", Philip De Yong told.


The guests were offered to see with their own eyes one of exemplary high efficiency agricultural production facilities created on the Tula land. For this purpose, the representatives of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands together with the Tula Region's Deputy Minster of Agriculture visited LLC Novomoskovsky Greehouse Compound and held negotiations with Oleg Ostanin, the General Director of the Company.
