Severny Industrial Park as a growth driver for the Belgorod economy

The Belgorod Region is creating conditions to develop small and medium-size production companies on the site of Severny Industrial Park, a project being co-implemented by  the Regional Government and Russian Ministry of Economic Development launched in 2006. The industrial park continues to grow expanding its production space.

The Belgorod Region is creating conditions to develop small and medium-size production companies on the site of Severny Industrial Park, a project being co-implemented by the Regional Government and Russian Ministry of Economic Development launched in 2006. The industrial park continues to grow expanding its production space.

A total of 80,000 square meters of production facilities and an energy-saving technology business incubator have been constructed on its territory, including 1,300 square meters commissioned in 2015. The construction of about 19,000 square meters is ongoing pertaining to different completion phases.

A 100 KW solar power plant was commissioned in May 2015 to provide energy saving options for the industrial park's treatment facilities.

The industrial park's residents currently include 27 SMEs engaged in production activities of which three enterprises started to manufacture their products in 2015: LLC PIK FARMA LEK – medicinal preparations, LLC Konstanta-print – printed products and LLC Tekhnodent – dental materials. Another 4 enterprises will start manufacturing their products in 2016.

The industrial park's residents have created 1500+ new jobs, including 200+ jobs in 2015. The total output manufactured by the residents in 2015 is estimated at RUB 3 billion.

After reaching their design capacity, the aggregate output of the industrial park's residents will have exceeded RUB 8 billion by 2017 with the projected tax payments to the Region's consolidated budget totaling not less than RUB 150 million p.a. and an average salary offered to an employee exceeding RUB 25,000.

The industrial park is a compound comprising items of immovable property (administrative, production, storage and other premises). Severny Industrial Park is managed solely by JSC Directorate for Developing Industrial Zones as operator.
