Snabpolymer Meditsina, a Russian and Chinese joint venture company, has selected a land plot in the Nizhny Novgorod Region to construct a facility that will produce safety syringes and other disposable blood storage and transfusion appliances, as reported on Wednesday by the Press Office of the Governor and Regional Government.

A cooperation agreement between the Regional Government and LLC Snabpolymer Meditsina to implement this project was executed in September 2015 as part of the 4th International Business Summit. Investments are expected to total RUB 1.3 billion. At that time, Wan Way Wen, the CEO of LLC Snabpolymer Meditsina, emphasized that it was Russia's first facility of such type to be launched.

In February this year, the company's representatives visited Nizhny Novgorod and inspected several potential plots to accommodate the facility.
