On the 4th of March, Regional Governor Oleg Kovalev held a meeting with an Italian delegation headed by Giovanni Toti, the Governor of Liguria.
Governor Oleg Kovalev told that the Ryazan Region Government is interested in further developing the mutually beneficial cooperation with partners from the Italian Republic in trade, economic and cultural areas.
The Ryazan Region exports to Italy semi-finished leather, petroleum products, metal items, magnetic-reed switches (hermetic contacts), medical appliances and lighting fixtures. The core of the Italian imports coming to the Ryazan Region is comprised of equipment designed for the consumer goods and food industries, engineering products and leather care products.
There are 4 enterprises operating in the Ryazan Region and featuring Italian investments, three of which belong to the consumer goods industry.
Governor Oleg Kovalev proposed to hold a number of face-to-face meetings between Ryazan and Liguria businessmen to establish closer relations and identifying mutually fruitful areas and formats for cooperation. Governor Giovanni Toti of Liguiria supported Governor Kovalev's proposal to arrange joint business presentations relating to tourist, hospitality and restaurant business areas.
