Gestamp has become one of winners of the prize of the 19th Russian Automotive Forum (RAF) for opening a new plant in Russia. The facility owned by German Edsñha (a member of Gestamp since 2010) manufactures car components in Togliatti Special Economic Zone.

Gestamp has become one of winners of the prize of the 19th Russian Automotive Forum (RAF) for opening a new plant in Russia. The facility owned by German Edsñha (a member of Gestamp since 2010) manufactures car components in Togliatti Special Economic Zone.
LLC Edscha Togliatti is Gestamp's four plant in Russia commissioned this year. The plant manufactures and assembles door hinges and hinges for rear doors, boot lids and hoods. Its total output is expected to be about 2.5 million hinges in 2016. AVTOVAZ-Renault-Nissan alliance is its main consumer.
Gestamp has been operating in Russia sine 2008 having facilities in Vsevolzhsk (LLC Gestamp Severstal Vsevolzhsk), Kaluga (LLC Gestamp Severstal Kaluga) and Togliatti (LLC Gestamp Togliatti).
The RAF prize has been awarded for the tenth year in a row and is a professional award used to honor companies' or top managers' success and contribution into the development of the Russian automotive industry. This year, the prize was called Resilience Award (margin of strength). The prize was awarded to companies that have shown special margin of strength, resilience and proactiveness despite the challenging situation faced by the industry.
