Another 29 businesses become residents of Vladivostok Free Port
On Thursday, 24 March, a meeting of Vladivostok Free Port's Supervisory Board took place.
At the third consecutive meeting of Vladivostok Free Port's Supervisory Board, 29 companies were awarded the status of resident with the amount of private investments to be made into approved projects totaling more than RUB 85 billion. Thanks to the residents, the Primorye Territory will offer more than 3,000 new jobs.
Based on its discussions, the meeting awarded the status of Vladivostok Free Port resident to 29 projects. Moreover, the meeting had a discussion over the land tax to be imposed on the residents of Vladivostok Free Port by Primorye Territory municipal entities.
A portion of the declared projects traditionally relates to logistics, including the largest among the approved projects aimed to create a coal terminal to export natural resources to the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region. The Primorye Territory's specialty also found its way to applications relating to fish processing and sea-farming. Furthermore, investors plant to use the area of Vladivostok Free Port to assemble lifts, manufacture electric devices, bicycles, reinforced concrete slabs, plastic items and sugar.
To date, JSC Far East Development Corporation has received 54 orders from potential residents of Vladivostok Free Port providing for a total amount exceeding RUB 147 billion.
