The new Internet resource developed by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science is designed for foreign applicants and their parents.
The Ministry will use the website to upload information about higher education opportunities in Russia available for citizens of other countries. To date, it presents more than 2,800 programmes, including post-degree education opportunities.
According to the Ministry of Education and Science, more than 220 thousand foreign students received degrees in Russia in 2014–2015 with their number reaching 20% in a number of universities participating in '5-100' Programme. This figure is consistent with that of the world's best higher school education institutions.
The educational authority has expressed its hope that the launching of the website named as Study in Russia will allow attracting attention from even more foreign applicants who will see the true value of educational opportunities in Russia.
The information which is available on the website will help to easily find an appropriate university, levels, prices and fields of education and pass a Russian proficiency test.
Furthermore, foreign applicants will be able to obtain necessary information about hostels, infrastructure, student benefits, meals, leisure and entertainment places.
The Russian, English and Chinese versions of the website are available.
