St Petersburg administration approved the Chinese skyscrapers project
The administration of Saint Petersburg, so called Smolny, approved new design of south-west of the city from Marshal Kazakov Street to Krasnenkaya Rechka.
«Two important objects will be located here: metro depot «Krasnoselskaya» of constructed Krasnoselsko-Kaliniskaya line and congress and exhibition center «Druzhba». The objects will be built by Chinese company «Hua Bao», - said Vladimir Grigoryev Executive Head of State Committee for City Building and Architecture.
About 265,000 sq. m. of commercially build-up area of «Druzhba» will be set up in 30 hectares area. The project includes exhibition and trading pavilions, office centers and two 25-storied skyscrapers of hotels and business-centers. The planned investment volume is $35 bln.
The owner of «Hua Bao» Van Linan said that the company will not provide the full investment but he provided letters from potential Chinese investors.
The project is planned to be completed by 2024.
