Italian apple gardens will shortly break in blossom in the Republic. The first crop will be secured as early as in August this year. Stanislav Kachmazov, the Director of LLC Kazachy Khutor, said that they had succeeded in planting the fruit trees thanks to their investor's funding. The apple trees were imported from Italy and planted using a brand new technology. Today, nothing, even hail, can prevent the high quality crop from being secured. A special system will protect the trees from adverse weather conditions and will prevent them from drying. The project will not only provide the Republic with its own product, but will also create new jobs. Even now, the apple fields are being handled by more than 250 persons.

Rimma Dzitsoyeva, acting Minister of Agriculture and Products of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, said: "I want to say that there has been no such large-scale project in the Republic's agricultural sector over the past few decades. The Republic is implementing the investment project aimed to create the 600-hectare garden using modern European technology. Phase 1, covering 210 hectares, will be completed until the middle of May."
