Regional authorities have signed an agreement with Chinese partners.
A Russian and Chinese enterprises is going to be created in the Region that will belong to the construction materials sector. The total amount to be invested in the project will be RUB 300 million. This will create 60 new job opportunities.
A unique Chinese and Russian trading house selling ceramic tiles and plumbing fixtures will appear in Ulyanovsk Port-Linked Special Economic Zone and a warehouse complex will be created on its site. At the same time, several show rooms will be opened in Moscow to show products to potential buyers.
Subject to successful operation, the trading house may acquire a 3 to 4% share in the Russian market.
Its ceramic tiles and plumbing fixtures will be consumed by such specialized retail chains as LEROY MERLIN, OBI and CASTORAMA as well as by regional construction markets.
For information, LLC T1's warehouse featuring the free customs zone status and erected in the SEZ will be used to store products delivered from the city of Foshan at initial stages. This warehouse is already able to accept products for storage. Later on, when the investment project contemplating the construction of a terminal and logistic hub in Ulyanovsk PSEZ is implemented, direct railway supplies are planned to be arranged to the economic zone.
