Powerking Co Ltd, a Korean company, will take part in the upgrading of the external lighting network in the city of Omsk.

Modern LED lighting fixtures manufactured by U-vision, a Korean company, have been installed at the Volgogradskaya Street, Kirov District, Omsk. Six 75W and 100W fixtures have been brought for testing.

In February 2016, a protocol has been executed between JSC Omskelektro and Korean Powerking Co Ltd under the auspices of Omsk City Administration for participating in upgrading the City's external lighting network.

Experts note that Korean lamps weigh 3 times less and are 3 times more energy efficient because they feature better light dissipation parameters. Such lamps are adapted for severe operation conditions such as snow, rain or temperature fluctuations. According to Omsk City Administration, Korean lighting fixtures manufactured by Powerking Co Ltd may be operated remotely and are better repairable. The manufacturer offers a 10-year operational warranty for its products.

So far, the first testing stage is ongoing. Its outcomes will be used to prepare feasibility studies. It is expected that the main portion of work will be done during the autumn-winter period. An appropriate street will be selected and experts will make necessary measurements within 100 days to assess the fixtures' energy efficiency and their suitability for the climate of the city of Omsk.
