They are associated with the construction of the third process string at the existing LNG plant, production increase and creation of a gas chemical facility on the Island. it was voiced in the course of meetings held with Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsui & Co Ltd that the cooperation must not be limited to oil and gas only. The Parties may develop their mutually beneficial cooperation in connection with the construction of an air terminal in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and creation of a series of factories to process solid household wastes and to manufacture sandwich panels, laminated timber and other building materials. "The Government of the Sakhalin Region is ready to provide the investors with utmost support", Oleg Kozhemyako is quoted as saying to its interlocutors.

One more news was voiced during the meeting held between the Russian delegation's members and Kazuhiko Mori, the CEO of Iida Group Holdings. A new wood processing facility may appear in the Sakhalin Region.
