Titan Group intends to create in Novouralsk a factory to produce metal silicon for more than EUR 100 million. Tenova, an Italian company, has been selected as a technology developer and vendor for supplying the main process equipment.

Titan Group intends to create in Novouralsk a factory to produce metal silicon for more than EUR 100 million. Titan Group is considering the city of Novouralsk in the Sverdlovsk Region being a restricted administrative and territorial entity as one of site for hosting the silicon facility. The project owner intends to construct the facility that will be capable of producing 36 ktpa of metal silicon. Tenova, an Italian company, has been selected as a technology developer and vendor for supplying the main process equipment. The project is going to be implemented within 30 months. The total amount required to be invested exceeds EUR 100 million.

Saint Petersburg Mining University is among the partners of the future facility that will act as a technical expert for the project.

The production facility is going to be located in Greenfield, a Novouralsk industrial park, for a number of reasons, including its remote location from the city's residential blocks. The creation of the facility, which will have smelting furnaces, requires the establishment of a buffer zone.
