South Korea to attract health tourists from Russia

Chkhve Jan-Sik, the Head of Chun-gu (Seoul's district) Administration, has announced his intention to hold a presentation of health tourism products in Russia from 02 through 06 June.



South Korea to attract health tourists from Russia


Chkhve Jan-Sik, the Head of Chun-gu (Seoul's district) Administration, has announced his intention to hold a presentation of health tourism products in Russia from 02 through 06 June.


The Chun-gu District of the city of Seoul in South Korea has become a special health tourism area. Presently it has 87 healthcare institutions holding a license authorizing them to examine foreign patients with their total number now being 507.


According to the Korean Healthcare Industry Development Institution, the number of foreign students who visited Chun-gu in 2014 is 16,321 persons. Russian patients rank No.3 among them.


The presentation will be participated by leading healthcare institutions of South Korea such as CHA Medical Group, Phegan (Korean conventional medicine hospital), Severance (medical examination center) and others.


Health tourists will be primarily attracted from cities of Siberia and the Russian Far East. In particular, large-format presentations will take place in Yakutsk and Khabarovsk. Russian citizens will be shown the latest developments of the Korean medical industry and will be familiarized with the Peninsula's conventional treatment techniques and culture.
