Austrians to construct fiber-board facility in Kaluga Region
An investment agreement was executed on the 1st of June between the Kaluga Region's Government and Austrian company Kronospan on the final day of a work trip made by the Region's Governor Anatoly Artamonov to Germany.
The document was signed by Governor Anatoly Artamonov and Peter Kindle, the CEO of Kronospan Holdings East Limited.
The agreement contemplates cooperation between the parties in connection with the implementation of a project on constructing in the Kaluga Region of a facility to manufacture wood-fiber boards (MDF). The new facility will be located inside the "Kaluga" Special Economic Zone in the Liudinovo District. The facility will be capable of annually outputting at least 350 thousand cubic meters with the amount to be invested being around RUB 9 billion. The facility is expected to create not less than 200 new job opportunities. The project is scheduled to be embarked on in late 2016.
