Rostov Region and Cyprus develop cooperation in tourism
On the 6th of June, a meeting took place between Minster of Economic Development Maksim Papushenko of the Rostov Region, Ambassador Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Cyprus in the Russian Federation Georgios Kasoulidis, Director of Cypriot Tourist Organization in the Russian Federation Dimitris Dimitriou and Consul General of the Republic of Cyprus in Krasnodar Nikos Vasiliou.
The main topic was the development of relations in tourism.
According to the Ambassador, in 2015, Cyprus was visited by more than 535 thousand Russian tourists with the tourist flow being expected to increase this year. Russia, in turn, is increasingly becoming a popular holiday destination for Cypriots.
"The Republic of Cyprus is proud of its twin-city relations with the Russian South. The Rostov Region stands a good chance to attract tourists' attention, especially in 2018, Georgios Kasoulidis said.
