Sinara Group and CRRC to manufacture high-speed trains

Dmitry Pumpyansky, the Chairman of Sinara Group's Board of Directors, and Si Gohua, the CEO of CRRC, have signed as a joint venture agreement providing for the creation in Russia of a facility to manufacture high-speed rolling stock featuring speeds exceeding 300 kilometers per hour.

Dmitry Pumpyansky, the Chairman of Sinara Group's Board of Directors, and Si Gohua, the CEO of CRRC, have signed as a joint venture agreement providing for the creation in Russia of a facility to manufacture high-speed rolling stock featuring speeds exceeding 300 kilometers per hour.

The agreement intends to consolidate the companies' efforts to get orders for the manufacturing of at least 100 high-speed trains. The project implementation process envisages production localization and arrangement in Russia of full maintenance services for the entire life of high-speed rolling stock.

For the purposes of the new joint venture, Sinara Group will arrange production with CRRC assuming design operations, monitoring compliance with applicable standards when manufacturing rolling stock, issuing licenses enabling the use of appropriate technology and providing technical support.

The executed agreement aims at satisfying Russian Railways' demand for rolling stock to be used at the 'Moscow-Kazan' high-speed railway being a top priority project of the Eurasian high-speed 'Moscow-Beijing' transport corridor.
