Representatives of several Chinese companies have arrived at Yugra on a two days' business visit. The potential Yugra partners' areas of interest include oil-and-gas and fuel-and-power sector.

Yan Bin, the General Director of LLC RUSHUN-HUA said during negotiations held with representatives of the Government of the Khanti-Mansiisk Autonomous District that his company wishes to erect a plant in Yugra for manufacturing petroleum equipment. The company is considering two options – Surgut and Nizhnevartovsk. The businessman emphasized that it is not about importing products from China but about manufacturing of the equipment within the Khanti-Mansiisk Autonomous District.

The representatives of oil companies who attended at the meeting said that the new Chinese partners are going to have a rough time in the Khanti-Mansiisk Autonomous District as the market faces oversupplies.

Governor of the District Natalya Komarova promised to support the Chinese enterprises noting that the PRC is one of the most vital trade partners for both the Khanti-Mansiisk Autonomous District and Russia in general. Furthermore, according to Governor Komarova, trade turnovers between the Region and the PRC grew by 30% for the previous year.
