Russian Post and Toshiba have executed a memorandum of cooperation during the Eastern Economic Forum. The companies plan both equipping the existing logistic hub located near Vnukovo Airport with automated systems and continuing cooperation to construct other hubs in various parts of the country

Russian Post and Toshiba have executed a memorandum of cooperation during the Eastern Economic Forum. The companies plan both equipping the existing logistic hub located near Vnukovo Airport with automated systems and continuing cooperation to construct other hubs in various parts of the country.

The number of international mails is increasingly growing so both Toshiba and Russian Post are confident that the automation of postal and logistical services needs to be developed.

Since late 2014, Toshiba has been supplying equipment for Russian Post's logistic hub located near Vnukovo Airport. Pursuant to the updated contract, the installation of a customs inspection system will have been completed by the end of this year. The total price of the contract as amended by the addendum is about €44 million. Moreover, the government company intends to create another several hubs in the country.
