Veropharm, a pharmaceutical member of Abbott Corporation, has presented a new facility in Volginsky village (Vladimir Region) that will produce more than 50 medicinal products of which 24 will be designed for people suffering from oncological diseases.

Veropharm, a pharmaceutical member of Abbott Corporation, has presented a new facility in Volginsky village (Vladimir Region) that will produce more than 50 medicinal products of which 24 will be designed for people suffering from oncological diseases.
The launching ceremony in connection with the Volginsky based facility in which Abbott has invested RUB 7.4 billion took place on the 7th of September and was attended by Governor Svetlana Orlova, Deputy Envoy in the Central Federal District Olga Atyukova, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Sergei Tsiba, Executive Vice President of Abbott Michael Vormut and CEO of LLC Veropharm Elena Bushberg.
The facility is intended to produce more than 50 names of products considerably focusing on chematherapeutic agents and chemoterapy premedications. These medical preparations are used to treat numerous oncological diseases, including breast cancer, stomach cancer, pancreatic cancer and leukemia. The Volginsky based facility will produce a total of 24 medicinal preparations devoted to cancer treatment. It will also produce antibiotics and cold remedies.
The Veropharm Plant in the Vladimir Region was built in full compliance with GMP international standards and may constitute a platform for manufacturing export level medicinal products. The plant will employ more than 500 highly skilled specialists such as engineers, technologists and quality assurance experts.
