The delegation from the PRC is headed by Hu Yanxiun, the Secretary of the People's Government of the city of Sichuan, who has held the first meeting with Anatoly Vasiliyev, a Deputy Mayor of Ulyanovsk.

The Russian and Chinese parties have discussed areas having potential for enhancing cooperation. First of all, the parties plan to bring the development of the 'red route' to a new level, promote interaction in culture and tourism and raise investments. The parties have also considered commercial cooperation between business entities.

"Guangan's population is almost 4 million people. It features comfortable transport infrastructure, is rich in natural resources and has favorable investment climate. Our city is now among potential partners as the guests have reiterated their intention to cooperate with Ulyanovsk's government agencies and businesses," First Deputy Mayor of the City Anatoly Vasilyev emphasized.

We remind that Ulyanovsk has a friendly history of relations with the Peoples' Republic of China. Today, there are cooperation agreements executed between Shenzhen, Guandong Province, and Xiangtan, Huan Province.
