An appropriate agreement has been executed between DVT Machine Tool Builders' Association, Astrakhan Machine Tool Factory (being a member of the Association) and DEZHOU Precision Machine Tools.

"And at this particular time, we are focusing on an important industrial sector." DEZHOU Precision Machine Tools is among 3 leading manufacturers of turning lathes in China. It has entered the Russian metal processing equipment market for the first time.

The parties have agreed to arrange a joint production facility on the site of the Astrakhan Machine Tool Factory. Their near-term plans provide for the manufacturing of numerically controlled (NC) machine tools. At the first stage, 30% of components used to assemble machine tools in Astrakhan will be manufactured in Russia with 70% being exported from China. It is expected that the use of locally manufactured components will reach 50% and then even 70% in future. The plant is going to annually manufacture 20 NC lathes, five machining centers and 150 to 200 versatile machines by 2018. DEZHOU PRECION CO., LTD was founded in 1945. Today, it has three production sites in the city of Dezhou occupying more than 810,000 square meters of space. It is one of major manufacturers of metal-cutting equipment and one of leading Chinese lathe manufacturers. Its products are exported to more than 40 countries across the globe.
