Memorandum of Partnership was executed in Moscow between Finnish Kouvola Innovation Oy (hereinafter “Kinno”) and Group of Companies Freight Village RU on October 19, 2016.
Kinno is a dynamic development company owned by the City of Kouvola. Under the Memorandum Kinno represents the interests of Railgate Finland Kouvola logistic complex located 130 km north-east from Helsinki.
Cooperation with Kouvola Innovation will open up auxiliary facilities to arrange container services from the People's Republic of China to countries of the North Europe, including Finland, via multimodal industrial-logistics center “Freight Village Vorsino”.
Over the last few years several successful projects related to transportation of cargo from the People's Republic of China to Russia have been implemented at “Freight Village Vorsino” terminal: in the first place, the project “New Silk Way”, regular container train from Ust Luga port and container trains from Nakhodka, Riga, Saint-Petersburg ports.
