Schlumberger group (France), which is erecting a facility to manufacture components for electric centrifugal pumps in LIPETSK Special Economic Zone, is going to launch it for a pilot run in 2017, according to information obtained by Abireg from the SEZ.


"In 2017, the plant will be put into test operation and in the first quarter of 2018 the plant will proceed to batch production," the managing company clarified.


Schlumberger joined the Lipetsk economic zone as resident in April 2016. The cost of the project on manufacturing components for electric centrifugal pumps will be RUB 3.804 billion.


Schlumberger is registered in the offshore jurisdiction of the Antilles (Netherlands) and has headquarters in Paris and Huston. It manufactures bore drilling and piping equipment. It also has facilities in such Russian cities as Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Perm and Tomsk. In 2015, the company's revenues totaled EUR 35.47 billion.
