Japanese sign off joint project agreement with Khabarovsk Territory

A meeting held in Japan has discussed investment projects to be implemented in the Khabarovsk Territory. More specifically, these include the second phase of a greenhouse complex being erected by JGC Evergreen (Japan) and participation of Japanese investors in the upgrading of the Far East capital's airport.

A meeting held in Japan has discussed investment projects to be implemented in the Khabarovsk Territory. More specifically, these include the second phase of a greenhouse complex being erected by JGC Evergreen (Japan) and participation of Japanese investors in the upgrading of the Far East capital's airport. The plant growing project is being implemented by JGC in Avangard Industrial Park. At the same time, representatives of JBIC, a Japanese bank, have voiced their wish to join a consortium of investors to finance the city airport reconstruction project.

Apart from the listed projects, the meeting of the Russian-Japanese Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) devoted to the country related trade and economic matters also discussed other joint plans. As reported by the Press Office of the Khabarovsk Territory Government, these include the creation of capacities to manufacture pellets and wooden house-building components in Amursk (Iida) and participation of a Japanese investor in the Vanino Transport & Logistic Hub project together with Kolmar.

"There is much work to do to agree on various aspects with the Japanese investors, but we hope that agreements will be executed for a portion of our projects during President Putin's December visit to Japan," Vyacheslav Shport said.
