Germans to invest into Cheboksary industrial park

Weidmueller, a German company, is going to invest into the development of a technology park in the city of Cheboksary. New facility to be invested into by the German investor is going to manufacture electric connectors.

JSC NPO Kaskad is a Russian party to the project which has already executed an appropriate agreement to that effect. At the initial stage, NPO Kaskad is going to act as a product supplier as it successfully passed an audit held for this purpose in summer this year.

Weidmueller is going to proceed to the stage by stage implementation of projects aimed to create facilities manufacturing electric connectors in Russia by transferring to NPO Kaskad appropriate technology and providing training services for its employees and specialists. The new facility must be commissioned in 2017–2018. According to the Government of the Chuvash Republic, the German company intends to create a joint venture company with NPO Kaskad in future.
