Japanese company to deal with production of electric cars in Primorye

A facility designed to manufacture electric cars is going to be created in the Primorye Territory. An appropriate agreement was executed between Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky of the Primorye Territory, Sumotory technical group and Arai Shoji Co (Japan). Ltd. on November 24 in Tokyo.


The Governor of Primorye held business negotiations with representatives of the Japanese businesses in the course of his official visit to the Land of the Rising Sun. The negotiations resulted in the execution of a series of important agreements.


For example, a facility designed to utilize old cars is going to be created in Primorye. An implementation agreement for this project was signed by Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky, CEO of Sumotory technical group, Riozo Arao, the CEO of Arai Shoji Co (Japan). Ltd., and Kenchiki Sasaki, the President of RoyalAutoPartsCo., the oldest Japanese company operating in this area.


The second joint Russian-Japanese project contemplates the manufacturing of electric cars utilizing used cars originating from Japan. An implementation agreement for this project was signed by Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky, CEO of Sumotory technical group and Arai Shoji Co (Japan). Ltd.


It is expected that half a billion Rubles is going to be invested into the project with the new facility offering to Primorye residents more than 100 new jobs.


The Governor of Primorye emphasized that the Region was absolutely interested in implementing these projects. "Given the preferences established for businesses, advanced development territories and Vladivostok Free Port and the Region's transport and logistics potential opening the shortest access roads to Asia-Pacific Region's markets, Primorye has set all conditions for creating export-focused production facilities. We will support your projects," Vladimir Miklushevsky noted.
