Thai CP-group may build mega-farms in Ryazan Region

According to Nikolai Lyubimov, temporarily acting Governor of the Ryazan Region, two major investment projects are going to be implemented in the Ryazan Region, in particular, the construction of a mega-farm by CP-group, a major Thai company, and production of stationery and office supplies.

"We are working on several major projects. These include the construction of a mega-farm by Charoen Pokphand Group. Today, they have presented a project for 80,000 heads of livestock, but there is no similar farm in Russia or other countries. Only China has such a farm but we have different conditions and different biological capabilities", Mr. Lyubimov said.

He explained that during the negotiations held with the investors he proposed that they should erect four complexes, each for 20,0000 heads of livestock, instead of one complex for 80,000 heads.

"They are now discussing our proposal. We have already selected different sites with large differing land plots for them," Mr. Lyubimov said.
