The Smolensk enterprises have participated in the 20th Central Asian international exhibition WorldFood Kazakhstan which has taken place in Almaty, November 1 - 3. The region has been presented by product samples of producers of canned fish and meat, canned fruit and vegetables, drinks, groceries and food products at the collective exhibition stand.

There were presented such Smolensk companies as Agrostandard, Varnitsa, Gagarinsky canning plant, Gipar, InterKap, Smolensky Cannery, Lalibela Coffee, Smolensk collection, the Smolensk food plant.

The Smolensk region which is presented at this international exhibition for the first time has attracted heighten interest of visitors and participants. In the first day of work representatives of the largest retail chain stores of Kazakhstan MAGNUM cash&carry have declared determination to cooperate with the Smolensk Collection company and have noted high quality of canned fish. It is also reached the preliminary agreement on the beginning of supply of the Smolensk canned food to the large distributor from Almaty the LINA TRADE company.

Besides, the stand of the Smolensk region was visited by the sales representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexander Yakovlev who has highly estimated the export potential of the Smolensk producers.
