The general director of Renault in Romania, Yves Karakatzanis, will take up the post of president of AvtoVAZ from June 1, 2018. That is according to a statement by Alliance Rostec Auto BV, the key shareholder of the Russian automaker (61.1% owned by Renault, 38.9% by Russian state corporation Rostec).
The current President of Avtovaz Nicolas Maure will focus on the duties of the senior vice president of Renault and the head of the Eurasia region, as well as the deputy chairman of the board of directors of Avtovaz.
Yves Karakatzanis is currently the general director of Renault in Romania, where he is responsible for all commercial and production activities.
