The number of the Yalta International Economic Forum’s participants will double in 2018, as up to 400 people from 60 countries are expected to take part in the event, Crimean Deputy Prime Minister and Crimea's Envoy to the Russian President Georgy Muradov told.
The Fourth Yalta International Economic Forum will take place in Crimea on April 19-21. According to organizers, the event will involve around 3,000 people.
Muradov pointed out that almost all European countries would be represented, as well as Asian, African and Latin American countries, including China, Iran, India, Vietnam, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina and Nicaragua. "We expect representatives from about 15 African countries," Muradov added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the Crimean State Council’s Committee for Inter-Community Relations Yuri Gempel told TASS that German parliament members representing the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party would for the first time attend the Yalta International Economic Forum.
"Bundestag members who represent the Alternative for Germany party will attend the Yalta Forum for the first time," said Gempel, who heads Crimea’s German National and Cultural Autonomy.
He added that a total of 20 guests from Germany are expected at the forum. "Apart from Bundestag members, there also will be regional parliament members representing the AfD party and the Left party, as well as businessmen interested willing to work in Crimea," Gempel added.
