Cuba issued trading permits to ten Russian meat and dairy producers allowing them access to the Caribbean island’s food market, said the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor).
Cuban veterinarians visited eight Russian regions last year to survey and select potential meat and dairy suppliers: Stavropol Territory in the South, Kaliningrad Region in the North-West, and Bryansk, Penza, Novgorod, Smolensk, Tambov and Orel Regions in Central Russia. Upon the survey and appropriate reports, Cuban supervisory authorities issued permits and licenses to four poultry meat producers, one beef butchery, three packed meat producers, and two dairy farms.Source: Interfax
