For the first five months of 2018 Krasnodar Territory’s export of canned cucumber and gherkins (with vinegar) has increased by 26% compared to the same period of 2017.
The region has exported 363.681 tn of these goods worth $323 thous.
Krasnodar Territory is the larger exporter of canned cucumber and gherkins in the country. It accounts for 31% of Russia’s export of these goods.
The main supplies of canned cucumber and gherkins are exported to Belarus (34.6%), Kazakhstan (30.7%) and Ukraine (19.6%).
Besides, these products are imported by such countries as Abkhazia (6.1%), Israel (5.4%), Azerbaijan (1.9%), Kyrgyzstan (1.5%) and the USA (0.2%).
