For the six months of 2018 Russia’s export volume of unwrought aluminum has amounted to 1.6 mln tn and increased by 1.7% compared to the same period of 2017.
According to the Federal Custom Service of Russia, aluminum export in terms of value has increased by 10.9% to $2.8 bn.
For this period Russia has exported 321.3 thous. tn of refined copper and unwrought copper alloys for a total amount of $2.2 bn (+16.5% in terms of volume and +40.9% in terms of value). Unwrought nickel export has stood at 68.5 thous. tn (+0.6%) worth $948.4 mln (+47.8%).
According to the London Metal Exchange, in June 2018 the average price of aluminum was $2.240 thous. per tn (+18.8% compared to June 2017 and +17% compared to May 2018), the average price of copper was $6.954 thous. per tn (+22% compared to June 2017 and +24.4% compared to May 2018), and the average price of nickel was $15.11 thous. per tn (+69.2% compared to June 2017 and +65.1% compared to May 2018).
