According to the Analytical Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, as of August 19, 2018 Russia’s export of cheese and cottage cheese has stood at 356.809 tn for the total amount of $957.03 thous., it has accounted for 19.1% of January export volume and for 86.7% of July one.
By August top 5 cheese and cottage cheese exporters among Russian regions (Moscow Region, Rostov Region, Samara Region, Ivanovo Region and Krasnodar Territory) have provided 92.9% of national export volume of this production, it is a 22.75% increase compared to the beginning of the year.
The main reason of cheese and cottage cheese export decrease has become cutting import supplies by Russia’s trade partners. For example, from January to June cheese export to Kazakhstan has decreased by 20.85% and absented in July and August.
