Korea, China, Japan, Nigeria: Who Else Imported Fish From Sakhalin Region?

According to the Federal Custom Service of Russia, in 2018 the export of fish, crustaceans and other aquatic invertebrates from Sakhalin Region increased by 24% and amounted to $793 mln.

Top 3 importers of Sakhalin’s fish included the Republic of Korea ($355 mln), China ($348 mln) and Japan ($74 mln). These countries accounted for 98% of region’s fish export. Besides, this production was exported to such countries as Nigeria, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Belgium, the USA, Denmark, Georgia and Singapore.
