Russia’s Flower Export Went Up By 21%

In 2018 Russia’s export of cut flowers for bouquets increased by 21% compared to 2017 and amounted to $678 thous.

More than a half of export supplies were constituted by cut roses (58%). The largest Russian exporters of cut flowers for bouquets became the Republic of Mordovia, Bryansk Region, Smolensk Region and Rostov Region. They accounted for 83% of Russia’s flower supplies. Among the top importers of this production from Russia there were Belarus ($479 thous.), Ukraine ($117 thous.), Kazakhstan ($41 thous.) and Kyrgyzstan ($35 thous.).
