In 2018 Lipetsk Region’s export of sunflower oil increased sixfold to $111.06 mln compared to $18.797 mln in 2017.
In 2018 Lipetsk Region supplied this good to 7 countries. Alongside with Egypt that became the largest importer ($55.12 mln), sunflower oil was also imported by Turkey ($29.2 mln), the Islamic Republic of Iran ($16.81 mln), Iraq ($3.55 mln), Sudan ($3.28 mln), Lebanon ($1.64 mln) and Belarus ($1.47 mln). Lipetsk Region provided 6.9% of all Russia’s export of this production and ranked 4th among Russia regions exporting sunflower. Rostov Region ranked 1st (41%) and was followed by Krasnodar Territory (10.8%) and Nizhniy Novgorod Region (8.4%).
