Russian Federation's imports of meat and edible meat offal (02 HS Code) in 2015


In 2015 the volume of imported meat and edible meat offal (02 HS Code) volume decreased by 44% and reached 3.1 billion USD compared to 5.5 billion USD in 2014 (see Figure 1).


Russian Federation's imports represent 2.74% of world imports for this product. Its ranking in world imports is 13.

2015 showed a large rise in Russian imports of swine carcasses and half carcasses, fresh or chilled (+558%). At the same time the imports of rabbit or hare meat and edible meat offal, fresh, chilled or frozen (-79%) showed a significant fall (see Table 1, Figure 2).

The main exporters supplying meat and edible meat offal to the Russian Federation in 2015 were: Brazil, Belarus, Paraguay, Argentina and Ukraine.


2015 showed a significant rise in Russian imports from Colombia (+216%). At the same time the imports from Australia (-81%) showed a significant fall (see Table 2, Figure 3).

In 2015 volume of exported meat and edible meat offal (02 HS Code) increased by 12% and reached 0.12 billion USD compared to 0.10 billion USD in 2014 (see Figure 4).
